Moral Excellence
I would like to keep the spirit of optimism available for street corner humor. After all what is the one thing that cannot be taken away from you? A well-furnished room for thought! It's like the time you were told at work to come wearing a tailored to impress suit and sit at the head table on a virtual teleconference. You needed to do this with an entourage of seat fillers, preferably senior ranked, non over bearing, knowing their bounded boxed sense of duty. The meeting was going to be for a one half hour slot to discuss the incident that wasn't an incident to begin with. Let me just say that such a moment is a classic, window seat at a airplane, debatable acupuncture curing all disease, category of food for thought. Sizing up not so rambunctious potential seat warmers is as difficult as it sounds. These individuals, with their perfect imperfections and big data analytical minds, have their own reservations and baggage of inhibitions that they successfully hide behind their polished self-representation. I am told this meeting was just a formality to ensure that there aren't any lasting repercussions and this direction was acquired from Mr. man of great exactitude himself. Between authority, compliance and security or as I term "three tiers of patience testing," I am slowly beginning to see why there is ambivalence on assimilation and contrast effects in political attitudes. The meeting did come to fruition with a twist that can be seen when people contort their mouth to force a smile. I faced the limelight under the scrutiny of the camera pretending to be a master of control and composure, a role I seldom play without committing foul. Needless to say I don’t possess a good poker face. You know the “oh by the ways” and the “no kidding” verifiably existing truth that you can dispose. It is that very set that exists objectively in the world of subjectivity. I would like to believe I am with the “good guys” protecting goodness. That is my only sense of moral excellence.
